I hope whatever Holiday you celebrate, you've been/will be able to do so with your Tart Submerged rewards safe and sound in your home.
My wife and I worked over the last three weeks to try to get every physical reward at least moving toward you. It's the craziest time of the year for the USPS, so I know some are probably still on the way, but I'm very happy to know many have arrived.
I know not everybody does social media, but if you have tagged me in a photo to let me know they arrived, or commented here, know that seeing them in their rightful home delights me.
I've got to make this update quick, as I still have to put all the shipping supplies away before family comes over for the evening.
Whatever you celebrate, I hope you can do so with those closest to you. Please know that your gift of supporting this series is one that keeps on giving. Ludo is finishing issue 15 right now, and I'm working on the outline for 1 (which will be different than anything we've ever done). Knowing you are in our corner gives us the strength to keep gong on this journey. Thank you so much.

What I learned from failing out of Law School.

Halfway through my first semester of Law School I realized that I had never attended a class. And worse, now that I was going to try to catch up, I couldn't even find my classes.
That's what I was dealing with when I woke up this morning.
What does it mean. First, that I'm probably glad I never went to Law School if I wasn't even going to go to my classes. And second (probably more importantly), I'm starting to fulfill the Submerged Kickstarters.
Whenever I have a large project starting my dreams punish me for not being done. It's usually a math class I've realized halfway through the semester that I haven't even gone to, so Law School was a nice step up for mind matriculation to invent anxiety about.
With the need to get these books out (OBVIOUSLY) at the forefront of my conscious and subconscious mind, I'm going to cut this update short and go back to packing.
My expectation is for the large bulk of the books to be on their way by the midpoint of next week. With the craziness of Christmas shipping, I can't guarantee they'll be there before any holidays you celebrate, but I'm hoping they might.

The hardcovers are in my home.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the books. It's alittle scary when your goal is a GREAT physical project. Because reaching GREAT is difficult. In my estimation, Printlore once again reached, and passed greatness with this printing.
Now that I have the books, I have two quick errands to do before I go into full FULFILL MODE.
1: Take a copy of Adrift and Submerged up to a box/packaging company near me to get the best sized box for the books to ship safely.
2: Lock down the launch date of the Tart 15 Kickstarter campaign.
As you may know, we try to have all of our artwork finished before we launch a campaign. It is why we've been able to deliver 12 Kickstarter campaigns without ever being late (we've been JUST on time plenty. But never late : )
I also won't launch until the rewards from this hardcover campaign are delivered. My expectations right now is a launch in mid-January. I'll have a lot more to say on that soon, but here's the first reveal of the cover.
I'm very excited about this one as it's a pretty important chapter in Tart's journey. And we get to meet a crocodile demon who wears a Hello Baby t shirt (one of those awesome details Ludo came up with to spice the narrative).
But we're going to get into fulfillment infull swing by next week, because I have every Kickstarter Reward except the Submerged Bookplates. They are currently at Karl Moline's home where he is signing and sketching on the bookplates that were pledged for. In addition to Karl, Ludo has signed and sketched, and Cassandra Bell and DC Hopkins have signed. As soon as Karl finishes they will go to Andrea Molinari and then to me to be sent.
I've never held them in my hand, but I have seen two of the sketched bookplates. And can I tell you... they are beautiful.
I'm really pumped about how they are coming out!
KICKSTARTER CLOSING THIS WEEK
MERAKI
My friend MK Palmer is back on Kicktarter with the 7th chapter of her mash up of sci fi with the mythology of the Greek Gods. I can't explain it better than MK does, so I'm stealing this off their campaign page:
<<Once a faithful servant to the Gods, Psi's eyes were opened on a quest for Zeus. Now she has made it her mission to kill them all.>>
Meraki is a good action adventure with strong and complex LGTBQ representations. As MK has said, she built the team this way for various reasons. One, so young readers might be able to see themselves on the page of the book they are reading. And also so she didn't have to shy away from the flaws in her characters; which she seems awfully interested in exploring.
If this is the first time you're hearing about Meraki there is a great digital catch up tier for only $32 and a pack that helps you get one of the last first printings of the first six issues as well, for $145, or even get the special Holofoil rainbow covers of all the issues for less: $119.
CHECK OUT MERAKI #7
I've got more energy to type for hours, but getting on the taks I mention above are a better use of my time (in order to get your your rewards sooner.
